I got home with the beginning
of a migraine due to some idiotic exposure to the sun with my head
uncovered. After the obligatory lecture
from my concerned wife and a thirty minute nap I was ready for Zorba’s. This has become an important part of the week
for my wife and I. They also make an
awesome prime rib and I try to avert my eyes when one of their pizzas is
carried by. The Red Sox were dissolving
on the varied televisions so my wife got my undivided attention as she listed
out the tasks I was responsible for since we’re hosting some friends from work
today for a get together.

As stated above I was a
little bored yesterday so I wandered into my movie fascination. My daughter got me into an online movie nut
site called Letterboxd. One of the cool
features is a listing your favorite movies chronologically. Since I’ve been a movie nut since my earliest
memories I decided to go back through the years and identify my favorite three
movies from each year. Looking at the
list I traced my movie fascination’s birth back to 1960 when I was five years
old. Those were the first movies that I
remembered seeing at the theater. It
turned into a very interesting exercise as some years were bumper crops where
it was very tough to identify just three while others had a single entry. It turned out to be a very eclectic list, a
little heavy on sci fi/fantasy action but quite a few dramas and comedies with
even a couple chick flicks, go figure.
