Jedi Night

Terminal E Last Night
In the immortal words of Mr. Kenobi, balance has been restored to the galaxy. My Favorite Panamanian returned from her southern sojourn and everything just clicked back into place when I saw her walk through the doors. I ended up spending a long time in Logan’s Terminal E, again. That allowed some reflection time about that particular place. It was the first place I ever met Soxfather and the last place I ever saw my first fiancé as well as the dozens of trips since that time I’ve taken from that spot. I forgot my Kindle at work so I grabbed a book off the shelf on my way out the door to pass the time. This afforded me a great and all too short a time with old friends Stu Redmond and Frannie Goldsmith.
The Initial Batch
I had the requisite dozen roses which has become part of our reunification rituals. We eschewed the usual late night dinner in Framingham to return directly home where another dozen roses awaited. I’ve found roses have an ameliorating effect on minor housekeeping shortcomings. I passed the initial inspection although my failure to throw away some very ripe cheese drew comment. She didn’t even notice the exotic arrangement of her pillow farm. She requires a virtual mountain of the damned things on the bed for some reason known only to some Pinterest contributor.
The Surprise Second
The pillows had residing in stately formation on the floor during her absence because I really don’t see the point. My lack of vision did not prevent me from trying to arrange them back on the bed prior to her arrival. She was so tired by the time we got upstairs that she didn’t even notice – so – WIN! I find it mildly amusing the steps each of us take in support of each other after so many years together. It’s almost as if we like each other. Go figure. I’m taking her out to lunch today and then, inevitably, First Friday celebrations. Balance indeed.
