There is not much to report today. I’ve run out of children with anniversaries after a two-day run. My Favorite Panamanian is in full prep mode for the upcoming visits by the FBR and BRS followed by her mother. We’ll be celebrating her mother’s 90th birthday while she is here, so, a very big deal. I’ve been fortunate enough to have my backyard project to protect me from serial spousal supervision on the 3,657,412 different tasks she thinks need to be done before the arrival. She is thorough. The protection is permeable though as I’ve been assigned several tasks in the evening once she thinks I have regained some strength and energy. I’ll soon lose that protection as I hope to finish off the project by Friday.
That
will depend on securing enough bags of concrete. My engineer son say I have to
do the entire pour in one day but the amount is daunting, especially since I
have to mix each bag individually. I can see why they invented the cement
mixer. I’m determined though and at this point I’ve gone too far to stop. This
morning I finished elevating the last of the stepping stones to patio level and
that leaves only the final pour left. Light at the end of the proverbial tunnel
with an anxious Panamanian waiting at the end to inflict chores.Today's (Day 31) Progress
Two movies fell in my A-Z effort, both definite keepers: American Ultra (love this, Eric Foreman vs. Tami Taylor) and American Werewolf in London (Jenny Agutter – my Dream Girl).
