Yesterday
qualified as a day to celebrate despite my diminished physical capacity which
were of course interrelated. Completing the back yard project left me fairly
exhausted but we had inbound guests as members of the DC Chapter of the Panamanian
Mafia were stopping by for a visit. That was more than enough motivation to
rally because these are some of the finest people around and the rare
opportunity to hang with them was not to be wasted. They arrived shortly before
the weekly First Friday Facetime call where the granddaughters were in full form.

Dinner Crowd Last Night |
After
a shortened call we drove into Worcester and met up the Neighborhood Mafioso
for a joining of the DC and Worcester Chapters of the Panamanian Mafia,
something so rare it usually only occurs at my children’s weddings. Since I’ve
run out of children to marry off, this was a rare opportunity. We had dinner outside
in central Worcester and predictably (with these people involved) it was a
great time. The two groups melded immediately. I watched a bunch of buses from
my former company drive by but didn’t recognize a single driver. There must have
been some serious turnover. We followed this with a walk around Worcester Common
which featured some drastically amateur rappers displaying their shortcomings. We
ended the night back in the Man Cave to watch a stirring Red Sox extra innings win
over the hated Yankees. I should mention at this point that our guests are
ardent Yankees fans. Kind of sweet. I might have cited the game’s outcome a few
times over the duration of their stay. I've created a GIF of the photos from my backyard project, a scary level of techno-accomplishment
One
movie fell in my A-Z effort, a keeper: Andromeda Strain (funny to see
fascination with very basic technology)
