Las Lajas Photo Journey

Hi, it’s Frail Deeds Dancer back up on the net after three glorious days in paradise on earth, better known as the Las Lajas beach in Panama.  I was thinking throughout these days of how to describe them, especially juxtaposed against the weather reports from back home (sorry guys – these pictures are going to hurt for those of you in subzero temps right now).  However I think these three days are best captured in pictures (in no particular order) along with some explanatory captions.
View Out Our Front Door Each Morning
It was three days where all electronics were put away and our cabin right on the Pacific Ocean provided the perfect opportunity to just enjoy each other.  It’s an object lesson about how much television and everything else in my normal life serves to distract from what is most important.

This was the beach that almost ended the Keene Friend a few years ago during his body surfing efforts.  My wife was loathe allowing me back out there but the waves were not to be denied.  She bought a new bathing suit for me who’s pockets inflated with each wave which only served to provide some truly atomic wedgies at the most inopportune times (luckily I packed a spare, bathing suit that is)).

Each day was spent in the ocean, walking the beach to collect firewood for the bonfire we had each night, but most of all it was time spent relaxing on an almost profound level.  Ladies and gentlemen – may I humbly present three days in Las Lajas – a photographic journey:
