Once the dental hygienist was
finished excavating the plaque buildup it was a hurried trip back to work to jump
into another meeting with the political leadership and the union. They are terrified of the union and talk a
brave front until they get into the meeting where they meekly propose items
they stated before hand they were going to demand. It’s kind of fun to see the union leadership
sniff the blood the in the water; highly entertaining.
There was a huge buzz around
here yesterday because the Rolling Stone chose to put a photo of one of the Boston
Marathon bombing idiots on their cover. Anybody
who read this blog know the absolute disdain I feel for most modern media outlets. This act only further cemented that impression.
I can certainly understand the interest and maybe even the need to explore
his motivations in print but the editors of this rag had to know by putting his
angelic face on the cover would generate this type of controversy and, of
course, sales.
The Cover that Should Have Been |
That’s the problem I
have. They chose to endanger future
lives by making a “rock star” out of this bozo.
I’m sure he smiled a lot when he saw the cover. Other would be idiots look at this type fame
and are encouraged. Freedom of the press
is necessary in a truly free society but someone in a position of authority had
to know the kind of reaction this would generate in a community still
recovering from the bombings. Shame on
them, although I doubt they “get it”.
Run the story but put a picture of the heroes who saved lives that day, not
the mass murderer who took them.
