This will be a really quick post because we are in the final preparation stage for a trip up to New Hampshire to visit our son’s family. My Favorite Panamanian is in the makeup phase of prep so I have a “few” minutes. I didn’t want yesterday’s activities to pass without comment because they were so much fun. My former assistant who moved into my old position when I retired came over for a socially distanced First Friday celebration. We both realized how much we missed hanging out on Friday afternoons as this had been a staple of our pre-pandemic routine. We planned to hang out on Deckzilla but after the first beer I said we had to get somewhere the sun would hit us because it was so damned cold. We ended up on the third terrace wall and it had to be fifteen degrees warmer in the sun. A great time.
This
was followed by the obligatory and altogether best thing to come out of the
pandemic, the Family First Friday Facetime call. We had both of my kids’
families as well as the newly retired Great Aunt and Soxfather on line. As is
usual in these situations, the time flew by and we took solace in the fact that
very soon we’ll be able to do these in person as the vaccinations roll on. I anticipate
Monday’s post will be laden with photos of the BRS and BR3. Have a great
weekend. So Much Warmer in the Sun
