Dia de la Madre

3 Generations of Panamanian Mothers - Wife, Her Mother, Our Daughter
All of the incredibly beautiful and conscientious mothers of Panamanian blood lines I’ve been fortunate enough to be associated with for the past three decades are wished a very sincere, heartfelt congratulations on their Mothers’ Day today. Mothers’ Day takes place today in Panama and is a very serious occasion combining their culture’s reverence for mothers as well as a Catholic holy day. It makes sense there as the country emerges from the rainy season and the start of the incomparable dry season. While my wife officially has to choose between the US and Panamanian one she certainly deserves at the very least two mothers’ days a year. I think roses and dinner out are in her immediate future.
We will first have to negotiate our way through another solemn ceremony to mark the First Friday of the Week. Well, maybe not so solemn. Last night I was back out in the front yard as my wife’s decorating orders extended into another day. Our lone front yard tree is now appropriately festooned and she refurbished some old retired trees into new front step adornments. Apparently I'm not done yet either. Hopefully the actual arrival of Christmas will put a halt to the effort. A true electrician would gasp at the connections I created last night so that everything would light.

Front Yard Progress

The Bad Cinema project count rises to #72 out of 100, with Rocket Attack USA a paranoia piece from the height of the Cold War.
