More Rummaging

It seems there were a lot more pictures in that pile I extricated from the storage bins than I thought, but I’m enjoying reliving the moments and people depicted. Great memories (see below). I’ve also enjoyed watching the Lord of the Rings series on Amazon although the first episodes were kind of mild, needed as they set up the 2d age of middle earth. That all changed last night when I saw the latest episode which saw the arrival of the Numenorians to Middle Earth. I know. I’m a serious geek.

I’ll also deliver the epitaph on the 2022 Red Sox as they experience yet another lost weekend in Toronto before blessedly ending their season later this week. This team lacked the heart of former teams and didn’t show any fight when it as needed. They couldn’t beat anybody within their division which is a serious problem. It seems as if those other teams’ batters had ear phones with the Sox pitchcom connected because Red Sox pitching was abused regularly. Every team has injuries but the Sox lost four of their five starting pitchers at one point and then the veteran hitters decided to all slump at once (see above comment on heart). I’ll still watch the remaining gams, I am a Sox fan, but can only hope there is a serious rebuild of the bullpen over the winter. A small nuclear device under the Rodgers Center and Yankee Stadium would help also.
