| Together Again - At Dinner Last Night |
I have successfully reunited with my Favorite
Panamanian who was returned to the fold yesterday afternoon by the Maine Musquetera.
She’s a little worse for wear since we learned this morning that the cold she
left Massachusetts with on Friday had evolved to pneumonia. She’s still her
plucky self and insisted on doing some “needed” shopping on her way back from the
doctor’s office this morning. We celebrated her return with dinner out last
night and it was so good to have my better half on station. We caught each
other up on the gossip from each of our locations during the intervening time
and held hands, a lot.

The FBR was suitably impressed with
our reunion as well, with a surprised look on her face when we both appeared on
the screen during our call. She was charming when she came up for air between
gulping down a huge bowl of mac and cheese, something of a family trait. The
BRS is still gamely fighting her first serious cold and it was sad to see her
so lethargic and sick when we talked with our Favorite Son.
The wife was impressed with Deckzilla
Dude’s progress as the roof is almost completely finished and the windows have
showed up and should be installed today. We have another plumber coming in on
Friday for another estimate since the first one wanted me to completely finance
his children’s college education. I still startle myself when I walk out of the
bedroom door and see the new hall looming in front of me.

inevitable group of Latino friends my wife accumulates wherever we have lived
& their spouses; Neighborhood Mafioso - wife's close
friend and Panamanian mafia member, Favorite Panamanian - the wife
(of course); First Friday – celebrations to mark the First Friday
of the Week; Excellent Boss – my former direct boss at
work; Voices of Inappropriate Worth - members of public who
come to every Worcester public meeting to complain, all are on public
assistance along with demeanor issues
